ACT ONE, SEEN TOO, 2011/12.
A painting designed for theatre space, first presented at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts in conjunction with Ikon Gallery, Birmingham in September, 2011, and then at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London in January 2012. The painting consists of 10 handmade painted kimonos; 3 kimonos on wooden stands; 7 kimonos suspended no wooden rods from a stage ceiling apparatus (each kimono approx. 210 x 200 cm); 6 banner paintings suspended from stage ceiling apparatus (each banner consists of 3 canvas strips, 270 x 170cm, for a total dimension of 270 x 5210cm)
